The Team Starting in 1999, Rugby Oregon has become the state-based model for youth rugby in the United States. At the center of this organization's growth has been people and teams dedicated to the sport of rugby. Eastside has been here from the beginning and proud of what we have helped accomplish here in Oregon. Although the team has evolved from the Eastside Monkeys to the Eastside Tsunami, a winning culture has remained the same. Whether it is bring home state championships or producing future Eagles, Eastside Rugby has a tradition of excellence in the state of Oregon. Our goal as a team is to grow the sport of rugby and the players as young men. We strive to keep our players successful in school and involved in the community: helping to mold the future of rugby and Portland itself.
